Wedding plans can be very stressful, so adding more stress is the last thing on Earth that you want to do.  How can you make plans for your beach wedding and maintain a low stress level?  Here are a few helpful tips for planning the ideal beach wedding, while at the same time keeping your composure and sanity.

Organizing the travel plans is a very challenging part of planning your wedding destination.  Keep in mind that you are not accountable for the travel plans of your guests; only those of your wedding party.  Even though they will be purchasing their own tickets, it would be advisable to make the bookings immediately to be sure that all the important guests will arrive on schedule and all together.  Booking airline tickets and hotel room reservations are fairly simple online.  If you are unfamiliar with a place, hotels usually have pictures on their Web sites.  The hotel wedding organizer may also email you some pictures when you plan a wedding at their venue.  When you are prepared to make a room reservation, do it ahead of time.  Usually, you can get great rates if you plan far enough in advance.

Another way to save some money is to hold your destination wedding during off-peak season.  Usually, prices are high during peak seasons.  You will be able to pay less if you can travel during the less busy times of the year.  There are generally times of the year that are less busy, but the accommodations and weather are still lovely.  In addition, your destination will be less crowded with strangers.

You may think that buying a wedding destination package will cost more than doing all of the planning and bookings yourself.  Most of the time, however, you can reserve a superior package that comprises travel, accommodations, and much more.  This can often cost less than booking each item individually.  This is particularly true of an all-inclusive package.  In addition, the benefit of a wedding coordinator will be an added bonus.  You may be able to take advantage of one of the complimentary wedding packages that are offered by many resorts.

You may worry about some of your guests because they are responsible for their own airline tickets, hotel rooms and other expenses.  While a few people may be discouraged from attending, you will be amazed at how many people will go to a beautiful wedding destination.  In some cases, you may propose to pay for a person’s trip, although it is not a requirement and you will not be breaking any rules.  As an alternative, you can thank all of your guests for coming by hosting and paying for a rehearsal dinner the night before your wedding.
