Prepare for the spring’s fishing trip
After 3-4 months of cold winter, with snowing, ice, colds and many other winter side-effects (among the impossibility to go fishing) it looks like the spring has finally come. You’ll be able from now to go fishing as often as you will like. Though, you must have in mind that during spring, the weather can change very fast and you must be prepared to face the possibility of bad weather.
You must have in mind, that even if the temperature is, let’s says, 20 Celsius degrees; there won’t be the same near the water especially if you’ll be fishing in a larger lake or in fresh water. Why? It’s simple: because it takes a lot of time for the water to get warmer due to it’s size, and also it will decrease the temperature nearing it. So, in order not to catch a cold, you should have warm clothes and shoes in handy. A pullover, a jacket, some boots, cosy sox, and also rain jackets and impermeable clothes should be found in your baggage among the rods, hooks and bait.
You might consider it a silly advice, but in order not to take very many clothes with you, you should take your snow suit with you. This way, if anything happens, and the weather will change, you will be full-protected and ready to face the change.
When it comes to the shoes you should wear during your fishing trip, the best ones will be a pair of boots with Gore-Tex hi-top technology. You will be full protected against humidity, and also you won’t slip. Though, you should have in mind to take with you two or more pair of sox, because you never know what might happen and it’s good to be prepared to face anything bad might occur.
And this is not it. You must take with you several other things that might be in handy in case of bad weather. So, you must have also several pair of gloves. Well, I know you prefer not to wear any gloves while fishing, but it’s mandatory if you know what is good for you. I strongly recommend to take several pairs because they might get wet and I presume you wouldn’t like to stay wet. This way, when one pair will get wet, you will change it with another. Also, if you know what is good for you, you should take some hats too, because there might be wind on the lake, and you could easily catch a cold. Also, the weather might change, and if you have a hat, you’ll be ready to face even the rain.
I presume this would be everything you should know about what gear should you take with you while you’ll go fishing on spring. Of course, the rods and all the fishing tools mustn’t be forgotten, but this is another article theme. So, good luck in capturing the big prey you have been always wishing for! But don’t forget, this is just a hobby. Don’t let it ruin your life!
