They neglect to realize that they can see results in inches, not just pounds. So be sure to not just weigh yourself but also measure yourself every week. This will help you track your success week after week. You’ll notice how your diet has helped you each step of the way.
Keep a food diary. Research has shown that dieters who write down their food intake daily are nearly three times more successful than dieters who don’t. All by just writing down their food intake. Carry a small notebook with you and write down every morsel of food that goes into your mouth. Be sure to include beverages that you drink. It can be an excellent idea to track your moods as you eat. This will give you an idea of what moods inspire you to eat.
Start an exercise routine that is fun. So what’s the best exercise that you can do for weight loss? The answer is: something you enjoy! Try walking, running, biking, aerobic dance, yoga or playing tennis for fun. For weight loss, you want to exercise at least five times a week for half an hour a day. Try to do several different types of exercise so you exercise all types of muscles.
Find a weight loss buddy. When we have someone to support us, we all seem to find the journey a little easier. So find a weight loss buddy, someone to talk to about dieting, weight loss and exercise. This can be a friend, family member, coworker, neighbor or anyone else in your life. The most important thing is that you connect regularly.
Drink enough water. One of the biggest challenges dieters have is drinking enough water. Keep a water bottle close at hand so you can easily drink. You want to drink eight,
unce glasses of water every day and other beverages as well. Water helps your body stay healthy and will increase your metabolism.
