How to take underwater photographs?
Underwater photography is completely different from land photography and one cannot use the normal digital cameras to capture images under water. There are various factors which affects the image resolution. These things have to be taken into account. Another thing is that these factors vary according to different geographic location. The techniques adopted for underwater photography is completely different from that adopted for photography on land. So, general photographic skills alone will not help one to capture good photographs under water. Here, water plays an important role. Different types of particles are present in water which affects the sharpness and resolution of the image captured. One such thing is plankton.
Another important factor is the lighting in water. Underwater flashes are available in the market. You can use one such flash to provide the necessary light. Normally used strobes are medium sized ones. It is better to avoid large size strobes. In sea, fishes utilize a camouflage technique in order to protect them from other creatures and human beings. So, upward angle is preferred while taking photographs in sea. If you are focusing a still object in sea like the bushes or the green vegetation then it would be comparatively much easier to take the snap. This is because of the reason that these things are still and you can adjust yourself to take the snap. So, enough time is available. But in the case of moving things like fish, you won’t get much time. In this case, only practice can help you to get images at good resolution.

Interested people can attend these courses as it will help you to gain more knowledge regarding water photography. For a beginner this course is a must if he wants to catch really good snaps under water. It will help in developing a good technique.
