Intensity, Color and Direction are the three basic properties of natural light. Intensity of nature light relates to its strength. This means that during sky days, the sun is brighter and the light intensity is too strong. But in cloudy days the intensity is dim and soft only.

The color of sunlight varies with respect to climatic conditions as well as with day time. The color of light will be much warmer during the beginning and end of a day.
Direction of light relates to placement or projection of light. It can be at three points: Front, Back and side. Placing on sides gives more texture between light and shade.
So based on these three properties of light you need to make your camera settings and take some exciting photographs.
