You may not have time or money to for key works like installing solar panel but don’t worry, there are many ways through which you can make a difference.
First thing you need to do is change your light bulbs. Install energy efficient tubes and bulbs which are now available in every size and shape. These bulbs and tubes may be more expensive but they will save you more lot of many in the way by consuming far less electricity and they even last a lot longer. Clothes airier should be used instead of tumble drier as it consumes less amount of electricity. Mostly purchase Second hand. By making a second hand purchase you employ valuable resource otherwise which might be wasted and can also helps to reduce the energy and cost to make a new product, example lot of furniture is there in the world by now; do we need to make more?
Make use of composite bins to recycle uncooked vegetables and fruits peeling. Add cardboard and egg boxes to balance nitrogen in the company of carbon and in by pass of time you will have a good fertile soil for your garden. Do rain water harvesting. This will not only sustain ground water level but will also conserve the water which would go in drain. Tight strip your windows and doors. It’s really easy to fill gaps in doors, this would not only make you feel comfortable but will also stop heat from escaping which will reduce your heating bills. Use only appliance that are rated as energy efficient and they even shouldn’t cost more. Make use of of only natural and non toxic detergents and toiletries as chemicals have a bad effect on environment. It may take some time adjust but then end result will be good.
