Prison and gangster style tattoos have been growing in leaps and bounds in popularity. Without even noticing the significance behind the tattoos you will see gangster and prison tattoos on people every day while walking down the street.
When you take into consideration the members of a gang, the similar tattoos that they all bear is a symbol of the strong bond that they share together. Different gangs are able to tell what gang members belong to which gang. Many times these tattoos are considered to be a status symbol of sorts. Generally prisoners take advantage of getting a tattoo to be able to help them survive in prison life because they put off a certain are of toughness. This is a huge reason as to why many people will avoid getting into any type of disagreement with anyone who has these types of tattoos.
These days getting tattooed is seen as a form of art, in fact today if you are deciding to have gangster or prison style tattoo it is no longer seen as something that is so negative. They are used to make a fun and often stylish statement.
