Lower back tattoos are extremely popular and are simply a great place to put a tattoo. There is a lot of space that can be covered here so you can go with something daring or choose something a bit more subtle. There is however some designs that you should steer clear of getting on your lower back.

A small tattoo would be kind of a silly thing to put on your lower back. I mean you have all this room and all you have there is a simple tiny tattoo. If you are looking for a lower back tattoo that you can show off going small is not the thing for you to do. Many times you can go back to your tattoo artist to add on to your tattoo but it is generally best you go big right from the start.

Flowers or Vine tattoos that are stemming down to the rear is something else that yo should steer clear of. With these tattoos it will appear that the design is growing “from the rear end”. While many seem to like this type of tattoo there are many that find them completely disgusting and distasteful. So think twice before getting this type of tattoo.

Getting just a name put on your lower back can really end up looking kind of odd. If you had some type of design along with the name then that would be a different story. There are many that choose to have a name of a loved one who has passed on tattooed on their back as a way of saying that they will always have their back. This is great however wouldn’t it look better to have the name up higher on your back?

So when you are looking for a lower back tattoo then think carefully before you make your final choice.
